"Matchlock musket Sri Lankan, late 17th century The shape of the stocks of Sri Lankan muskets is quite distinctive.
This one was a matchlock, though its lock is lost. It was made to be shot left-handed; the lock was on the left of the stock.
A similar gun in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, is fitted with a Russian lock."
