"Tuanna  Loch na Coiribe, Ceathrú Mhór an Chnoic, Co. na Gaillimhe  11-12ú haois  ...  Aimsíodh na tuanna seo le chéile in 2013 i mbád a chuaigh go tóin poill i Loch na Coiribe, am éigin idir 1020 agus 1150.  Is féidir a bheith ionnainn is cinnte de gurbh le laochra Éireannacha iad na tuanna 'Lochlannacha' seo, rud a thaispeánann chomh forleathan is ar úsáideadh iad.  Is dócha go raibh cos fhada ag an tua is mó chun go bhféadfai úsáid a bhaint as le dhá lámh.  Bhí na tri chos snoite ó adhmad silín (prunus)."
"Axes  Lough Corrib, Carrowmoreknock, Co. Galway  11th-12th century  ...  These axes were found together in 2013 in a boat that sunk in Lough Corrib, sometime between 1020 and 1150.  These classic 'Viking' axes almost certainly belonged to Irish warriors, showing how widely the Irish adopted them.  The largest axe probably had a long handle for two-handed use.  All three handles were carved from cherry wood (prunus)."
