"Mace (gorz)  Indian, 18th century  The rounded head and shaft of this mace are
chiselled with ribs and delicately overlaid in gold with minute floral decoration."
"Mace (gorz)  Indian, probably Lahore, 18th century  Maces were used for hand-to-hand combat against
armoured foes throughout Asia from the early Middle Ages onwards.  This mace has a head formed of six flanges.
The haft is of steel chiselled with reeded flutes and decorated in gold koftgari."
"Flail  Indian, Lahore, late 19th century  This mace has an extremely long iron haft enabling it to be used in two hands.
The haft is chiselled with facetted and sprial [SIC] sections, and has traces of gold decoration.  Connected to the top
of the haft by chains are 6- and 13-spiked balls.  It was probably made for parade rather than military use."
