"Late Medieval Warrior
This figure is based on a 15th century effigy at Ballynakill church, Co. Galway, said to be a Burke warrior.  His armour is typical of a late medieval Irish nobleman -- a long coat of mail with separate collar and bascinet (helmet).  His padded aketon can be seen beneath the mail coat and he probably wears light leather shoes or boots."
